Preliminary budget discussions were held at the January 25 and February 8 township meetings. Township Administrator Doug Cramer presented a preliminary budget. The proposed budget shows that in 2015, the amount to be raised by taxes was $1,890,832; in 2016, the amount to be raised is $2,516,665 (see page 12 of the preliminary budget). This is an increase of $625,833 dollars.
The Committee will continue to discuss the budget at its February 22 meeting. Its anticipated that Tabernacle’s CFO Terry Henry and Township Auditor Kevin Frenia will participate in these discussions.
Administrator Doug Cramer said that he’s looking to formally introduce the budget at the March 14 meeting. TTJ will report on the key 2016 budget issues once the Committee firms up its deliberations.
